Description

This hanging diya is traditionally used to hang in the pooja room, or temple karpagraham. Its main feature is the chain handle attached to the top, allowing it to be suspended from a hook or support structure. Its radiant light not only illuminates the surroundings but also symbolises the presence of the divine in the puja room. Within the Hanging diya, five wicks, or thiris, can be held separately. The hanging deepam looks like several diyas have lit up at once. Positivity and wealth are drawn into the home when an oil lamp is lit. In tamil, It is called as Thooku Vilakku.
