AEA R44C Ribbon Microphone Supply

Description
Back before condenser microphones made their way across the Atlantic, the ribbon mic and its big sound was the ear drum of America. Maybe the most iconic of these US juggernauts was the RCA 44, coveted to this day for it’s larger than life sound and velvety top end.
The folks at AEA, and particularly owner Wes Dooly, got their start servicing these mics and models like it. By 1998 they we were manufacturing 100% of the parts for the 44. And with the AEA R44C, you get unmatched historical accuracy to real thing, produced by the experts that know it the best.
At its core, the R44C has a ribbon made from the same NOS material used to make the originals. The mic is a museum-quality replica, featuring a bronze investment cast yoke, superior to the original zinc yokes by RCA (which tend to corrode over time), a hand-polished cushion mount and a cloth-covered Accusound Silver Studio Pro cable. The result is a response that equal to an original 1936-38 RCA 44BX, when it was brand new. With the right preamp, you get a sound the is wide open, smooth, and completely natural, unlike any other mic on the market!
Includes: Case, Stand Adapter, Manual and Cable
